To perform butterfly kicks on the back, lie flat on your back with arms extended above your head, legs together, and engage core muscles. Quickly straighten legs while pushing hips down, point toes outward, and bring legs back up towards hips. Press hips up and forward, repeat in fluid motion with alternating downbeat and upbeat. Focus on stability and minimizing drag. Regular practice and leg strengthening and stretching exercises are key to improving performance.
